I’m looking for budget-friendly dash cam suggestions. What do you recommend?
I use the Viofo A229 Plus. It’s been great, especially if you add the polarized lens.

Same here! It’s awesome. I have it hardwired into my car, so the parking mode works perfectly.
@IvankaMoore
Thanks! I’ll check it out.
Viofo A119 V3 or the Mini version would be my pick.
Honestly, you don’t need anything fancy. Get something simple that’s easy to install and reliable. People get too caught up in ultra-high resolutions and night vision, but a basic dash cam can do the job. As long as it records clearly enough to show liability in an accident, you’re fine. I’ve seen lots of people on YouTube use RedTiger cams, and they seem to work well.
@lorenza
Totally agree! I ended up with a RedTiger front/rear combo in a few cars, and they’ve worked perfectly for years. You can grab them for around $115 during sales.

Good to know. Thanks for the advice!

Thanks, this makes sense. Appreciate the help!
Check out Mangoal OEM-style cams on Amazon or their direct website.
COXPAL A11T is a solid choice. It’s a 3-channel dash cam that records front, inside, and rear views. Pair it with their hardwire kit for 24-hour parking monitoring. I also recommend a SanDisk MAX Endurance microSD card (256GB or 512GB) for reliable storage.
I recommend the 70mai A810. It’s 4K and has rear recording too.
I tried the Nextbase brand, spent about $300 on it, and it died quickly. Seems like others had the same issue. On the bright side, I installed a third-party 7" screen with CarPlay/Android Auto and an integrated dash cam. It hooks up to the cigarette lighter and aux, and I’m loving it so far!
