What tyre pressure do you use?

The door pillar of my 1.8 Corolla recommends setting 225/45 R17 tires to 33 psi in the front and 30 psi in the rear. However, the Toyota website suggests 33 psi in the front and 31 psi in the rear for current models. I usually add 1 or 2 psi above the recommended levels. When I add 2 extra psi, the car coasts better when I let off the throttle, but the ride is harsher and doesn’t feel as stable. I’m curious what tire pressures other Corolla owners use.

People out there really don’t like to follow instructions.
Personally, following instructions is my thing because I don’t like to take any chances. That is why my tire pressure must always lie within the recommended range by Toyota which is between 28 psi to 32 psi.

The best option is to set the tyre pressure according to what is recommended in the door pillar

The optimal tire pressure for a vehicle can vary depending on the make, model, and type of tires being used.

Hello, Amber. The factory specifications are printed on the door. If you know it will get colder, add roughly 5 psi.

I drive my boss’s Vanguard and I usually do 32psi. I
tire pressure depends on many factors. If you are going to drive offroad, I would recommend higher like 10% more psi than the recommended.
During cold seasons too you could go higher by 10% too
