What's your take on the new Toyota Sienna?

I’m looking to get my wife a new vehicle, and I’ve always been a fan of Toyota. For anyone who owns the latest Sienna, can you share the pros and cons? Thanks in advance!

I have a '23 XSE, and it’s a great vehicle overall. The main downsides are the outdated infotainment system and the fact that the 3rd row seats don’t lock down when folded. They bounce around when you go over speed bumps, which is annoying. I had to put a cargo mat over them to fix the issue. Other than that, it’s fantastic. I consistently get 30-35 mpg, even with a Thule Pulse L cargo box on the roof. The fuel range is over 500 miles on a full tank.

Thanks for the info! That fuel economy is impressive. Didn’t know about the bouncing seats, though. And yeah, there seems to be a subreddit for everything these days, haha.

If you can wait, the 2025 model is the way to go. It fixes the outdated infotainment issue that a lot of people complained about. The only catch is finding one; these things sell out fast. I work at a dealership in East Alabama, and we rarely have more than one Sienna in stock.

We’re planning to go new anyway since we want something that’ll last us at least 10 years. Sounds like the 2025 could be worth the wait!

We love our Sienna, but we’ve had some issues with connecting our phones to Apple CarPlay. On our 2021 RAV4, the system picks up either phone right away when we plug in, but with the Sienna, you have to go in and select which phone to use. It’s a bit frustrating.

I have a 2022 Platinum model. It’s a great car, but I feel like the build quality isn’t as good as it should be for a $60k vehicle. They probably went lighter on the materials to keep the weight down for better fuel efficiency.
