My son just picked up a 2006 Legacy GT and needs some replacement parts. Trying to figure out the best place to order from online. Any recommendations?
Thanks, I checked them out but saw some mixed reviews. That’s what made me ask here.

RockAuto has always been solid for me. Been ordering from them for years, prices are usually great.
@Kale
It used to be better. Lately, I’ve had issues with:
- Getting a used part someone returned and they just resold it.
- Receiving what looked like fake Moog parts.
A lot of their listings are from unknown brands too, so it’s hit or miss.

What reviews did you see? Everyone I know swears by RockAuto. Curious to see what people are complaining about.
@Fane
I just Googled ‘is RockAuto reliable’ and read through a few of the results.

RockAuto sells some great stuff, but they also have some really low-quality parts. Just don’t be tempted by the super cheap options. If you ever need to return something, it’s more of a hassle than going to a local store.
Try subaruonlineparts.com or subaruwarehousedirect.com instead. They’re dealership-run but usually 20-30% cheaper than parts.subaru.com, which charges full retail.
@Lloyd
I get discounts when I order through parts.subaru.com. Plus, you can pick up at a local dealer instead of paying for shipping.

Only if your local dealer participates, though.

Do you see the discount after adding the part to your cart? I checked and everything was listed at full price, while the dealer sites had discounts upfront.
@Lloyd
Yeah, you have to pick a dealer first, then it shows discounts. I usually go for pickup since I have a few dealers nearby, but shipping might be cheaper through the wholesale sites.

Makes sense. My local dealers barely offer any discount, so I’ve been ordering from the cheapest one I can find.
@Lloyd
Yeah, discount depends on the dealer. I usually see 15-25% off.

Good to know, thanks!
That’s just the official Subaru parts site, but you’re really just ordering through a dealer. It’s not Subaru themselves selling it.
Appreciate it.
I usually go through parts.stiverssubaru.com. It’s a dealership, but for some reason their prices are better than what I see on parts.subaru.com.
