Hello, I want to know which one you prefer? Which one do you think is more reliable?
I wish we had the 24 model in the States. I’d trade my 22 in for it. I love these vehicles.
I like the 18’s front, and the 24’s back.

Same .
I prefer the 18. I think the styling was very unique when this was released, now several cars look similar to the front of the 24. Likewise with the full light across the rear being more commonplace.
I prefer the looks of the 18 plate in all honesty. When I bought mine I was enamoured with it instantly. The newer ones… I dunno, there’s something I’m not a fan of with them and I can’t quite figure out why.
I’ve heard that the 18s have bad transmission but not sure how true that is .

I can’t confirm anything, but I’ve heard similar. It could be a known issue, though.

Gas version, right? (Not hybrid)

Chr turbo 1.8 probably not the best from Toyota

Yeah, mine went out after only 100k miles. Replacement has gone a good 263k miles so far!

I can also confirm, 2018 CHR with 67k miles before we had the transmission replaced. Cost about $12k, luckily we had a warranty

I should have seen this earlier because my 18 has a transmission problem and it’ll cost at least $6000 to fix
I had the old one and traded it in for the new one. Primarily to get the AWD (I’m in the north and the slippery season is long) and the improved sensors for easier/lazier parking.
I like the look of the new one more too, but that wouldn’t be the reason to swap them. I like how the old one looks as well.
2024 front end is nice
Kinda hard to say without owning and driving both. Looks wise, I think the back one has better body lines. Too much black on the front one.
We have the 18 one. White, just like the picture. Honestly, I think it looks so much better than the new one. The new one has crossed a weird line where it’s just a bit weird looking and a bit trying to hard to look modern.
The nose on the new is weird.
Just based on looks, I like the '18 one, can’t really say about driving, I’m driving a '16 C-HR myself
