Who is actually paying these prices for Tacomas?

I paid MSRP and would do it again. Everything’s expensive now, and the 2024 Tacoma gives you more than previous models. Toyota knows people will pay the price, so they keep charging it.

People keep comparing prices to pre-COVID, but things just aren’t like that anymore.

I just bought a 2022 TRD Off-Road with 60k miles for $37,700 after searching for months. I feel better knowing it’s certified with a good warranty, but my bank account still hurts.

I see more Tacoma TRD Pros on the road than Rangers or Colorados. Toyota knows how to sell trucks, even with all the recent recalls.

Used Tacomas are outselling the 2024 models where I am. Trade-in value on that Pro is probably around $33k or more.

People are buying them like prices will never drop. Same thing happened with Rolex prices!

I sold my 2019 in the spring for more than I paid back in 2018. Drove it for nearly 5 years for just the cost of fuel and insurance. If you want a deal, find a private seller a bit out of the way.

Just got a ‘23 TRD Off-Road with 21k miles for $41.5k. Not the best price, but it’s what I wanted and it’s Toyota certified.

These prices are ridiculous. Maybe I should just get a Ridgeline instead.

It’s the AWD El Camino.

I have a 2023 SR5 with 17k miles, paid $32k here in Missouri.

I bought a 2017 SR5 with extended bed and 7k miles in 2020 for $27k. Dealer keeps calling me to trade for a Ranger and offering crazy money. I’ll just hold onto it, though—I don’t want a new payment.

Dealers think dropping the $10k market adjustment is some kind of deal.

Wonder what my 2014 TRD Off-Road in mint condition with 90k miles is worth now. Crazy!

Prices are wild here too. We need a truck but dang, Tacomas are pricey. :sob:

Doesn’t look like anyone’s paying your dealer’s price since it’s been there for 65 days. That’s just a classic ‘I know what I got’ dealer.

My 2013 SR5 with 251k miles is still worth about 65% of what I paid. Unreal.

Got a ‘21 SR 4x4 for $26k. I just couldn’t justify TRD prices.

I wonder what my 2021 Tacoma TRD Pro in Lunar Rock is worth

Who knew a depreciating asset could appreciate like this!

Paid $38k for a loaded 2021 TRD Off-Road Premium with 46k miles.

I bought a 2024 after repeatedly telling the dealer, ‘let me know when it’s under $X.’ They eventually called with my price after two months.
