Why are the new Toyota SUVs so weird?

@Blaise
You could always add a Comma 3X for lane centering. Many say it’s better than Toyota’s tech.

Toyota doesn’t care what you buy as long as you’re buying from them.

Totally agree. The TRD Pro Sequoia has such bad approach and departure angles that its off-road features are basically useless. A reviewer even broke the front fascia on some frozen mud. For $80k+, it should be as capable as an old Land Cruiser, but it’s not. GX460 or 5th gen 4Runner TRD Pro is the way to go.

We have a new Sequoia, and it’s amazing for highway trips. Drives way better than the previous gen and handles like a dream. Off-road, our new LC250 is a beast too. Not everyone needs them, but they’re solid vehicles.

The new Sequoia is useless for my needs. I need a large flat floor for equipment, and this SUV has multiple uneven levels. It even struggles to hold basic baby gear without stuff falling out. My 2019 LC200 is way better, and I’ll stick with it until Toyota gets their act together.

@Tanisha
Your 2019 should last decades. Hold onto it.
