Will I fit comfortably in a 5th gen RAV4?

Hey everyone, I’m 6’1”, around 205 lbs, with a 44L jacket size and a 34” inseam. I currently drive a 2013 model with 265k miles and find it pretty comfortable. I’m planning to replace it in about a year, so I recently sat in a 5th gen RAV4. It immediately felt smaller, but maybe that’s because I’ve read so much about the 5th gen being slightly more compact.

I only had 10 minutes to check the seat and wiggle room—no time for a test drive. I’m curious if anyone my size has prolonged experience driving a 5th gen and how it feels for longer trips.

Honestly, nobody’s comments will compare to you sitting in one for a proper test drive. If you’re serious about buying, it’s worth finding 15 minutes to drive it yourself.

I’m 6’2”, 240 lbs, with a 34” inseam, and I’m happy with my 2024 Prius Prime. I wouldn’t mind an extra inch of headroom, but it’s not a dealbreaker. The only real issue I’ve had is that I can’t put a sunglass holder on my visor—it feels too close to my head.

Thanks for sharing. I haven’t had a chance to test drive yet, but I hope to go back to the dealer this month. I’m still about a year away from making a purchase.
