Will Toyota announce the 2026 4Runner in April 2025, or will there be a delay?

The 2025 4Runner was officially announced in April 2024, but those models are just now arriving at dealerships in the U.S. and Canada.

Do you think Toyota will announce the 2026 4Runner around April 2025, or will they delay it since they’re still catching up with the 2025s?

If they do announce it in April 2025, would there even be enough time to make major changes or improvements for the 2026 model?

Toyota usually only makes big announcements for full redesigns or major refreshes. For regular model years, they don’t really ‘announce’ anything—by August or September, the 2026 models will just start showing up at dealerships.

@Leighton
Yeah, exactly. Same thing happened with the 2025 Land Cruiser—it was the second model year after its redesign, and there wasn’t a big announcement. The new ones just started arriving at dealers.

Toyota doesn’t announce next year’s model a whole year in advance unless it’s a full redesign. Minor updates just roll out without much fanfare.

Got it. So the new models just kind of ‘appear’ on the website? When do you think the 2026 4Runners will actually hit dealerships?
