Saw this truck listed for $38k… it’s got 120k miles on it, and I’m wondering if that price is way too high. What do you all think?
120k miles on a truck that’s only 3 years old and they want $38k? No way, that’s insane.

I agree. Even $35k would be crazy. High miles are high miles… it’s still wear and tear no matter how you look at it.

Exactly, and it sucks because it’s such a nice truck.

Yeah, I was eyeing these last year, but the prices were out of control. I checked out Titans too, but all trucks were way overpriced. That’s why I’m still holding off. Before all this, 100k miles would’ve put a truck in the low 20s instantly.

I’m not really loyal to any car brand. I got a 2020 Ram 1500 Bighorn last year for a great deal—off-lease, low miles, still under factory warranty, plus a used warranty for under $35k. Looked at Tundras, Silverados, Sierras, but this was the best deal I found. The Tundra you’re looking at would be perfect if it didn’t have so many miles. It’s just crazy that people don’t see the red flags with this kind of mileage.

Oh, trust me, I noticed all the red flags right away. Your comments just confirmed what I was already thinking. If this truck had 60k fewer miles, I’d buy it in a second.

I wasn’t specifically talking about you. I mean, so many people come on forums like this asking if deals like this are good when they’re clearly not. And then there’s the ones who buy it, come back bragging, and ask how they did. But yeah, if it had 45-60k miles, I’d be tempted to buy it myself.
Man, this price is a joke. Who in their right mind would pay that for such high miles?

This truck looks great, but that mileage for that price? Total deal breaker for me.

I’m not tied to any brand either, but I’ve always liked Tundras for their style and the solid V8 engine. I had a 2016 Ram 1500 with a hemi, but it spent way too much time at the dealer for various issues. My Frontier wasn’t great either. No truck is perfect, but prices have to be fair.

What does Kelley Blue Book say? $32k maybe? I wouldn’t worry too much about highway miles since these trucks can easily hit 300k.

My 2014 1794 has less miles than this.
For this trim and color, $38k doesn’t seem like a good deal. I’d expect less than 100k miles at that price.

What would you say is a fair price for this?

I wouldn’t go over $30k. Judging from the pictures, this truck has been through some rough environments, probably on salted roads a lot.

People can argue all day, but this truck isn’t extremely overpriced. It’s worth around $33k-$35k in today’s market.

I think the saying is ‘hem and haw,’ but I kind of like ‘hee and haw’ better… might start using that!

I’d say about $35k at most. It’s a tough call though. It’s a great looking truck, but with over 100k miles, you never really know what you’re getting into. Check KBB, ask your lender for their valuation, and compare with local listings. But yeah, 120k miles on a 2021 is a lot, and that ‘as-is’ sticker is a red flag.
