Anyone tried disabling the auto start/stop on their Forester?

Hey Subi fam, I’m looking to permanently disable the auto start/stop on my 2023 Forester. Has anyone here tried it? Does it work without causing other issues? I’m a little worried it might mess with something else in the car. Would love to hear your experiences. Thanks!

Didn’t even know you could do that! Following this thread because I just got a 2024 Forester and hate the start/stop too.

Same here! I’m tired of forgetting to push the button and getting that split-second panic when the engine cuts off.

I’m using one from ‘Auto Stop Start Eliminator.’ Works great—no issues at all.

I’m using this one: Amazon link. Works on my 2021 Forester and looks totally OEM because it replaces the dashboard switch.

That’s great, but the price is a bit much for me.

Does it show the yellow error icon on the dash when installed?
