Can I cancel my Toyota warranty?

I just bought a GR86, put $5k down, and told them I didn’t want the warranty. They showed me a price of $37k and made it sound like that was before the downpayment. But when I got my paperwork a week later, the final price was $42k because they added the 120,000-mile or 10-year warranty I said no to. It’s probably my fault for not reading the contract well enough, but is there any way I can cancel this? I’ve tried calling the finance manager but keep getting voicemail with no response so far.

I canceled my GAP insurance on my Tundra and got a big refund. Sounds like they took advantage of you.

They told me GAP was required unless I put down at least $13,000. The problem is, they aren’t open on weekends, and when I went after work, they rushed me.

Toyotas hold their value well, so you probably won’t be upside down on the loan for long.

What warranty did you get? The ones advertised on TV or Toyota’s factory warranty? Off-brand warranties are usually more profitable for dealers.

Mine came with a 100,000-mile warranty.

I doubt it.
