Found a huge nail in my RAV4 tire… what should I do?

Get a tire repair kit and fix it yourself!

Tire shops won’t touch a tire that’s been plugged.

This happened to me two days after getting new tires. Luckily, it was patchable.

Send it to me. I’m missing that exact screw from my grill.

Discount Tire is the way to go.

If you’re on the west coast, Les Schwab has great service.

I’ve never had a tire plug fail me.

Fix it.

Get your socket set out first.

Don’t take it out yourself. Drive to a tire shop. It’s quick and cheap.

At least it’s not in the sidewall like mine. I had to replace the tire.

It might be patchable.

A plug will fix that just fine.

Just tighten it occasionally. That’ll keep it from leaking.

Advice? Get it fixed.

Tighten it and spray some rubber sealant over it.

Not a good idea. It needs to be patched from the inside.

Why are these screws painted blue?

Most shops use inside/outside plugs now. If it’s too close to the edge, they might say it’s unrepairable. I used an old-style plug kit and it worked fine.
