As much as I want to say go for it, I don’t know your money situation. If it were me, I’d have to pass.
I’m not sure if it’s a good deal or not, but I’ll say this—the vibes are absolutely on point.

Totally agree. Serious vibe check passed.

But how serious? This serious…

Paint job is slick and it looks awesome, but I’d have to say no at $35K. Maybe $20K tops. It’s got 231K miles—if that’s still the original engine, that’s a lot. Even pristine classics in other brands don’t fetch that.
@AlexToyotaEnthusiast
22RET is super rare. That alone bumps the price.
Not something I’d spend on, but someone out there with money to burn probably will.
It’s a cool build but not $35k cool. For that price, it should be nearly mint. The big ‘TOYOTA’ logo is kinda off without other decals to balance it. Shrink it down a bit and shift the T into the yellow stripe—it’d look way cleaner.
Honestly, I’d rather drop 35k into a newer rig at a fab shop.
@Whit
Exactly—put $15k into a clean low-miles platform, then go nuts with the rest.
You’d have a wild ride to show off in the Costco lot!
That’s a quick way to burn through your wallet!
The wheels kill it for me. If you’re asking $35k, it better be flawless—and this just isn’t. It’s a cool ride, but he’s dreaming if he thinks it’s worth more than half that.

To be fair, those wheels are top-tier—te37xt M spec isn’t cheap.

The turbo version only came with an automatic though.

The R151F 5-speed was used with the 22RTE, so you could swap that auto out if you wanted.
I agree with most folks here—price is steep, especially for something that’s not perfect.
But yeah, clean 4Runner.

I get it. Still wouldn’t go for it.
It looks awesome, but it’s got a few rough edges. Especially for that price.
Depends how nostalgic you are. Looks great, but that price depends on how much you’ve got to burn.
Slick ride—not sure it’s worth that kind of money though.
