What’s the deal with 15mm spacers on a lowered car?

In New Orleans, I would bottom out every few feet.

Oof, that sounds rough.

I think a lowered Prius looks really cool!

Seems fine for you, but I scrape the front of mine on strange speed bumps and parking lot inclines. Can’t imagine how much worse it would be if I lowered it!

I love it! Perfect stance, perfect daily. I’m biased because my gen4 is on coilovers. I posted about it before and got mixed feedback, but hey, that’s what makes this place great! Gorgeous Prius!

Haha, same thing happened to me when I first posted about lowering mine. It might not have the monster truck look, but I still have 5" of clearance under most areas, which is awesome for a modified car.

I’m with you on that. No worries!

By the way, which coils did you get? It’s always interesting to see who makes parts for cars that aren’t super popular.

I went with Rev9 coilovers. I wanted BC BR’s with Swift springs since I’ve used those before, but the wait was long. I found Rev9 coilovers in stock with good reviews, so I gave them a shot. So far, they’ve been great after 5000 miles.

@Hayes
Nice! I’ve never liked a car with BC coilovers anyway. Maybe if you matched the springs and valved them right it would be better, but that’s not something people seem to do.

BC’s did feel better with Swift springs compared to without, but they were still a bit harsh. Back then, my cars were all loud and rough, so it didn’t help much.
