Hilux is too good, too reliable. They only sell the bloated stuff here… add extra panels, make it big and call it safe. I worked at Ford, and they put rebuilt parts in most of their ‘new’ cars. I’d take a Hilux any day.

Older Hilux models (1999 and before) can be imported, but you’ll pay that 25% chicken tax. I’ve got a 92 Hilux from France… double cab, 4WD, slow but reliable.

But you can’t bring it to the US unless it’s 25 years old.
Weird how you can buy it there and then ship it here like it’s already their car.
